Overall sentiment across East of Suez remains soft, with no immediate catalysts for tightening.

Albeit relatively strong demand in AG and North Asia this week, rates remain largely stable as prompt vessels flocks the market. Cargoes has been fixed into 2nd week of Feb and if market does not keep up with the same demand we had last weeks, together with the vessel surplus in the market, we may expect owners to start undercut.

Overall bias is sideways to slightly soft. No collapse, but upside is capped unless a fresh demand catalyst appears. The Far East is weighed down by a long tonnage list and weak naphtha arbitrage. Transpac activities remain minimal, with

The regional market shows diverging trends this week, with activity easing in Southeast Asia but remaining firmer in the Far East. Intra-SEA momentum has softened after weeks of strong pre–Lunar New Year CPP demand, with some vessels now opening in early February, while chemical spot activity remains limited and largely COA-driven. Northbound and Westbound conditions are broadly unchanged: benzene demand into China has improved but has not absorbed surplus tonnage, prompting owners to fix forward into late February ahead of holiday disruptions, keeping freight stable. In contrast, Intra-FEAST activity has been relatively active, with February positions tightening quickly and owners increasingly covered through end-February, allowing those with reliable schedules to seek modest premiums amid weather-related uncertainty. Southbound trade remains steady, anchored by consistent chemical flows into the Straits, while westbound interest is centered on base oils and mixed-grade chemicals ex-Korea for late February and early March. Overall, tonnage availability remains adequate across most routes, and freight levels continue to hold around last-done.
